What's New at Ayrlies

Winter at Ayrlies is warmed up with these flamboyant tree Aloes - Aloe ferox - arborescens.  The yellow Aloe traskii (seen in the background) flowers a little earlier.  The strong forms of the Aloes are a good ploy for the rather straggly form of the orange epidendrum orchid.  Aloes will stand some frost.
